Hi everybody! So my last Spring Break ever just ended. Yah, talk about feeling old. I went back to my hometown of Newport Beach, CA in sunny Orange County with my boyfriend and two friends for the week. We had a blast cruising on the boat, bar hopping in Laguna, and lunching at the yacht club. But one of my favorite things we did was drink my mom's famous jalapeno margaritas in my parent's backyard living room under the prettiest twinkle lights! #SpringBreakGoals for sure (well, at least when you're old like me).
I wanted to share with everybody my mom's famous jalapeno margarita recipe. Seriously, these things are killer (and I mean that in a good way). Not too sweet, just as spicy as you like, and full of yummy ingredients like fresh lime, agave, and pepper liquer, these are a lazy Summer Sunday's best friend. Check out the recipe below! I've also provided my margarita glass and Jonathan Adler party-ware wishlist below so you can shop them too!
Jan's Famous Jalapeno Margs
1 part Tequila (Patron is our fave)
2 part Margarita mix
1/4 part Grand Marnier Orange Liquer
5 limes squeezed and tossed in the pitcher
2-5 Sliced and seeded Jalapenos (if you like it spicy like I do, leave just a few seeds and muddle half a pepper)
1/4 part Ancho Reyes Pepper Liquer
Agave to taste
Let sit in the fridge for a few minutes to make sure mixture is cold and properly mixed.
