Happy Valentine's Day.... Our Wedding Photos Are LIVE!
February 14, 2018
Wow wow wow! I cannot believe Hayes and I are coming up on nine months of marriage. We got our photos in from our fabulous wedding photographer (who was also my photography professor from Ole Miss!) Will Jacks. What Hayes and I really love about Will and his style his ability to capture an "unstaged" moment. We wanted tons of candid photos, not many posed or over edited so this was the perfect fit for us. So many people these days want a photographer that is going to produce Pinterest worthy photos. What we wanted is to look back on our photos and laugh and cry and see the true essence of the night come through rather than having the perfect Instagram post. Lucky for us, we got both! Thank you Will for capturing the best day ever.
Of course, these aren't all of the photos (there are a few thousand of them... it was so hard to pick!) just some that I think best represented the best day ever. Like I said, we specifically requested tons of candids. I wanted to capture my bridesmaids and I getting ready with my mom and MIL, Hayes and his crazy funny groomsmen drinking before the day gets started and swimming in the lake, our beautiful ceremony and reception complete with a stray dog (no, I'm not kidding!).... I mean, there was a band, booze, good music, and A PUPPY! What more could a gal ask for?
I wanted to share these with y'all on a significant day. I wanted to share them right away, but then I got it in my head that I wanted to do it on our first anniversary and then I was like mkaaaay I can't wait another second! I have to share them! And when better to share the photos from our wedding than on Valentine's Day?!
Check out my favorites below!
Discussing very important matters such as fake eyelashes.
I am obsessed with the dresses I got for my bridesmaids and I. I wore white (duh) and I had my girls in alternating powder blue and navy BUT they come in like a million colors. Shop them here.

All glammed up in my dress! eeeek
Hayes, looking as cute as ever.
Hayes' groomsmen Collin and Matt.... crazy, but I love 'em.
Hayes did the cutest and most thoughtful groomsmen gifts. He got each of them a bottle of their favorite liquor, a personalized flask, and a book he thought each of them would enjoy. Here is John Mark, who is currently in med school, with his!
Our cake was two tiers of lemon cake with strawberry cream filling and two layers of vanilla with vanilla filling. The whole thing was frosted in honey buttercream.
One of my favorite details of our wedding was the plates. We collected vintage blue plates from all over the country and ended up having the most beautiful collection the day of. Exactly what we wanted! Below, are wedding photos of our grandparents. So sweet to have them there in spirit as mine have passed on.
